Music and Art Classes
Thank you for your interest in group music and art classes. Teaching has always been a passion of mine and I'm hopeful that through small group tutorials like this, children will grow and cultivate relationships in person even during the trying times that our country's pandemic has caused.
The state mandate is that students under 12 are not required to wear face masks. As a teacher, I will also not be wearing a face mask but will encourage hand washing, cleanliness, and good hygiene during all our classes. Parents will be required to sign a waiver for our home insurance purposes.
Classes will be filled first come-first served. Please look over the highlights of each class and you can register directly from this form. If you have siblings that you would like in both classes, please register each separately and make a note on the form for the class you would like them to attend together.
(Students that are in grades K-2 will not be able to attend a 3-5 class with a sibling, but a 3-5 grade sibling can attend the K-2 classes.)
MUSIC - all grades K-5
This will be a 6 week course on the following dates: THURSDAYS August 27, September 3, September 10, September 17, September 24, October 1. In these classes, students will enjoy singing folk songs, learning music theory, playing Boomwhackers, and exploring movement and music with dance and improvisation. We will have class outdoors as the weather allows but will also have space indoors for various activities. $80 total for all 6 classes. 90 minutes 3pm-4:30 on Thursdays.
ART - grades K-2 (possible 2 spots available. Please message instead of click the link)
This will be a 5 week course on the following dates: WEDNESDAYS September 2, September 9, September 16, September 23, September 30. In these classes, students will work with paint, oil pastels, pencils, markers, and clay. Each lesson will focus on one of the 7 elements of art (Line, Shape, Form, Space, Color, Value, Texture.) Art history lessons from famous artists will be included in several of the lessons. $100 total for all 5 classes (tuition and material fee combined.) 90 minutes 9:30-11am on Wednesdays. LIMIT 8 students
REGISTRATION - ART K-2 - message me!
ART - grades 3-5 - FULL
This will be a 5 week course on the following dates: TUESDAYS September 1, September 8, September 15, September 22, September 29. In these classes, students will work with the same mediums as the grades K-2 classes but will dive deeper into elements and principles of art in an age appropriate way. Art history lessons will also be included in lessons. $100 total for all 5 classes (tuition and material fee combined.) 90 minutes 3:00-4:30pm on Tuesdays. LIMIT 8 students.
Sign ups are open now and due date will be August 15th for enrollment. *In order to finalize the class schedule, all registrations must be in by August 15th. If classes do not meet the minimum participant I will refund each family.* Once registration is finalized, I will e-mail you a waiver to submit before classes begin!
