Traveler's League Hapis Chronicles

  I was talking to my friends recently about the "spring fever" of planning homeschool events. As much as I want to put blinders on and only focus on the task at hand and ignore making plans for the future, sometimes the visions of "what's next" turn into amazing experiences! Our Traveler's League book party is the perfect example! Back in November I wrote a post and shared it in our Wild + Free group about an idea my husband and I had. What if we did a book party where the book was written by the students?! I knew in order to pull something like this off we would need to have months of preparation. Day trip to Decatur, Alabama

  During the summer of 2020 we discovered a wonderful day trip from our home in south Nashville to a quaint little place in northern Alabama! Our excursions usually take us to different parts of Tennessee, or up north to Kentucky and Michigan. On a whim last year, I just went to Google maps and typed in "tourist attraction" around the Tennessee River in northern Alabama and discovered the "Delano Park Rose Garden." That piqued my interest and we had a blast visiting on two different days! We are going again soon and I thought I would type out a suggested itinerary for others who want to visit!
